My
personal experience spanned five years. Two years
(7/68 to 6/70) were spent with the Naval Advisory
Group (Personal Response Program), working throughout
the country with Vietnamese and American Navy
units during Vietnamization. Almost all Navy people
received these briefings at Coronado and Mare
Island, and when you arrived in-country-in addition
to the Personal Response
team visits to all Navy sites. I then was at Coronado
for two years running the intercultural relations
part of the Counterinsurgency School. Then back
in-country again doing the same job from 5/72
to 5/73 and some work with SOG units. I'm now
just a retired LDO living in Bremerton, Washington.
